After designing two Galleries for the client over a 20 year time span this current design marks the third Gallery designed for the client. The current Gallery is a storefront location in the heart of the West Chelsea Gallery District. Over the years, each gallery design has built upon the past innovations, incorporating key elements and room types that have functioned well.

The design reflects a professional, yet casual atmosphere, expressing the Owner’s gentility and the caring way she does business. This is echoed in the material choice that integrates juxtaposes white walls against chorused natural wood Reception Desk and miscellaneous black Storage Cabinetry. Four Viewing Rooms are hierarchically situated to flow from public to private, allowing the public to move from the seasonal shows to the Gallery’s complete collections.

Like the designs before the Owner has situated herself, whereby she can keep an eye on the front door and all that goes on around her. Where possible cabinetry and furnishings have been re-purposed in an effort to be sustainable. Custom Conference Tables of stainless steel and glass designed by the Architect for the original Gallery still remain as center pieces for the gallery.
